Art of the Heirloom

by Ken Greene

Join us Saturday, November 8th!

Thanks to everyone who RSVPd. It's going to be a great group of artists, gardeners, farmers, ag-tivists, foodies, art lovers!

It's not too late! You can continue to RSVP up until the event starts. We're sending out an email with details today (Friday the 7th). If you register after that time please follow the instructions at the end of this post.

We're very excited to announce that our Art of the Heirloom exhibition of the new art commissioned for our Art Packs will be opening at The New York Botanical Garden!

We hope you can join us for the first look at the original works alongside works selected from our archives of over 100 commissioned pieces. Please RSVP below.

Event Details

Getting into the Gardens:
We'll give the RSVP list to the security station at the Mosholu Gate (not the main gate entrance). The Mosholu Gate is across from the Metro-North Harlem local line's Botanical Garden Station on Southern Boulevard. Tell the guard you are attending the Art of the Heirloom Reception at Ross Gallery. They will let you into the gardens and show you where to park.

When to Arrive:
We recommend getting there at between 5:45 and 6:30pm. Ken will give a gallery tour at 6:45pm. The event ends promptly at 8pm.

What to Bring:
SEED SWAP: There will be a seed swap. If you have leftover seeds you'd like to swap with other gardeners bring them with you!
FOOD: Our food theme for all of our gallery openings is POPCORN. One of the best seed snacks there is. If you would like to help out by bringing a bowl of your favorite flavor of popcorn, please do. It's a popcorn potluck... a pop-luck! There will be prizes for the best popcorn snack!

Pop-Up Seed Shop:
More popping! We'll be setting up a gift shop during the opening with Art Packs, Fine Art Prints, and more. This is a great chance to get an early start on holiday gifts!

Link to driving, transit, and bicycle directions to NYBG (remember Mosholu Gate!)

See you there!
