National Seed Swap Day

by Ken Greene

Today, just a few short days after the governmental, judicial, and corporate leaders of our nation made a decision that will threaten the world's seed supply for generations to come, is National Seed Swap Day. I will be running a swap at NOFA-New Jersey's Regenerative and Resilient Food Systems: Sowing New Seeds Winter Conference. The next day of the conference I'll be giving a talk on seed saving. Hope you can make it, there are many wonderful speakers at this year's conference. If you can't come, here are some resources to help you think about seeds today.

Cooking Up A Story has a post about Seed Swap Day

Margaret Roach just put together this great seed storage viability chart.

Here's how you can test your seeds from last year to see which ones you can trade or plant.

Sow local, seeds are survivors!
