Volunteer Days in August

by Ken Greene

intern emily trellisWe had a great time with our volunteers who came early in the growing season to help with seedlings. Thanks to everyone who came and helped out!

Volunteering is a great was to help the Seed Library continue to grow while getting to see the behind the scenes of our unique seed farm and learning some new skills.

We have two more volunteer days coming up to help us get ready for our annual Day to Be Seedy Farm Tour on August 24th.

We truly appreciate our volunteers and always bestow them with love and gifts. For each shift you work you get love, appreciation, AND a free Seedy T-shirt of your choice PLUS 4 tickets to the farm day.

There are 2 volunteer days and each shift is limited to 5 volunteers.

We'll be doing some seed harvesting, weeding, bed prep, some seed processing and setting up for the farm day. Come prepared for outdoor work!

Friday August 16th

9-12 or 1-4

Thursday August 22nd

9-12 or 1-4

All volunteers are welcome to bring a lunch and hang out with the seed squad during lunch time.

To sign up for a volunteer time, send an email to Stu, our head farmer. Stu will get back to you with details.

If, for any reason, you won't be able to make a shift you signed up for, please let Stu know.

Thanks again for growing with the Seed Library!
