These are our tried and true fall root varieties. This set includes (1) pack of Detroit Dark Red Beet, (1) pack of Chioggia Guardsmark Beet, (1) pack of Danvers Carrot (1) pack of Watermelon Radish, (1) pack of Purple Top White Globe Turnip, (1) pack of Harris Model Parsnip.

Parsnips should be sown early, about 2 weeks after last spring frost.

Storage carrots should be sown 10-12 weeks before first frost date, and harvested before the ground freezes.

Beets should be sown 9-11 weeks before first frost, and harvested before temperatures are consistently below freezing.

Watermelon radish should be sown about 8 weeks before first frost, and harvested before the ground freezes.

Turnips should be sown about 8-10 weeks before first frost and harvested before the ground freezes.
