Polish Linguisa translates to "Polish sausage," the elongated shape of this classic heirloom variety is often referred to by that same, However, there is much more to this variety than it's name! This variety made it to New York state in the 1800s through Polish gardeners. The texture is on the drier side, making ti perfect for sauce, canning, or reducing to a thick, flavorful paste, but it isn't so dry that you can't slice it and enjoy it raw in salsa or on pizza. One of our favorite varieties for over 10 years, we hope to keep this rare variety around for generations to come.

Growing Instructions

Start indoors 4-8 weeks before last frost in a warm spot with ample light (supplemental light is usually necessary). Transplant after frost into medium-fertility garden beds in full sun. Trellising is required; pruning is recommended.
