ABOUT US
We are seed savers. On our farm we grow, save, and share open-pollinated and heirloom flower, vegetable, and herb seeds.
We are art lovers. For our seed packs we commission artists to creatively interpret the stories of the seeds in our catalog.
We believe in the power of seeds and art. Artists are cultural seed savers. Just as our farm selects the colors, flavors, forms, and expressions of life that we hope to pass on to future generations, artists select the colors, flavors, forms and expressions to share with the world. Hand in hand, as seed savers and artists, we lovingly illuminate the seed stories that keep the culture in horticulture.
COLORICOMBO
To further celebrate the creative connection between seeds and art, the Hudson Valley Seed Co is partnering with artists Esté MacLeod and Lori Siebert for a special seed-inspired COLORICOMBO Instagram art challenge!
Follow along on Instagram as Esté shares specially curated works of art from women artists and draws color inspiration for you to use in your submissions.
How to Participate
1. Check out Esté MacLeod’s prompts from her Instagram feed. Follow co-host Lori Siebert here.
2. Post the artwork you created in response to the color prompts on your Instagram.
3. Follow and tag @hudsonvalleyseedco on your post!
4. Tag #coloriflori too!

Seed Pack Art Commission
Be entered into our general call for seed pack art!
Be creative! We want to see who you are as an artist. If selected, the artist will be offered a paid commission to create a new original work of art based on one of our (still secret) 2023 Art Pack varieties. Don't forget to follow & tag @hudsonvalleyseedco
