Spectacular lily-like blooms in starburst displays of violet. Also known as 'Siberian Lily' or 'Lavender Mountain Lily,' these large blooms are held aloft by slender stems reaching 15" tall. Copes with dry, hot conditions remarkably well and make for an excellent cut flower. A good Naturalizer.

Blooms from late May to early June. Resistant to deer and rodent damage.

Does not ship internationally.

Ixioliron likes nutrient-rich, well-draining, neutral soil, and will naturalize slowly by bulb offsets and sometimes seed if it is happy where planted and not disturbed. They do best in full sun, should be planted 5" deep in fall, and watered in well after planting. If you live in a cooler climate, apply a thin layer (no more than 2") of mulch.
