Ixioliron likes nutrient-rich, well-draining, neutral soil, and will naturalize slowly by bulb offsets and sometimes seed if it is happy where planted and not disturbed. They do best in full sun, should be planted 5" deep in fall, and watered in well after planting. If you live in a cooler climate, apply a thin layer (no more than 2") of mulch.
