Detailed Product Info

Costata Romanesca Zucchini is the foreign exchange summer squash you want to befriend--it's got a cool accent (originally from Italy in case the name didn't give it away), is beyond tasty eaten cooked or raw, and produces plenty of male squash flowers for your enjoyment. This cool, ribbed summer squash boasts a nutty flavor and looks positively daisy-like when harvested with-flower.

Growing Instructions

Direct sow after frost, or start indoors 3 weeks earlier. Succession sow at 3-4 week intervals for healthy plants all season. Bush habit. Cucumber beetles can be a bother; protect with row cover, or re-sow if young plants are damaged. Harvest when squash are 6-8" long; prompt harvest ensures longest period of yield.
