Also known as 'Spring Starflower,' this softly-scented, periwinkle blue bloom will brighten any lawn, woodland border, or rock garden. Produces multiple stems of star-shaped flowers in early spring. Ipheion is considered to be one the easiest bulbs to grow, and Rolf Fiedler will naturalize quite readily.
Reaches 6"tall. Plant in full sun. Charming, low-maintenance, and resistant to deer and rodent damage.

Ipheion likes moist, nutrient-rich, well-draining soil, and will naturalize readily if happy where it's planted. They do best in full sun to partial shade. Should be planted 4" deep in fall, and watered in well after planting.
