Sow Indoors Early Starter Set: Hardy
Think of spring when getting these early hardy varieties stared indoors.
Get a head start with this set of varieties that can be transplanted outdoors well before your last frost! Start onions and chives indoors first, about 12 weeks before your last frost date, then transplant outdoors when they reach 3-6 inches high and the soil is workable. A few weeks after starting your alliums, start your first round of kale, collards and chard. These can be transplanted about 6 weeks after starting. More detailed planting instructions included with each pack. This set includes (1) pack each of: Chives, Vates Blue Curled Kale, Early Jersey Wakefield Cabbage, Champion Collards, American Flag Leek, and Rainbow Chard.

We recommend ordering row cover for the kale, cabbage, collards and chard to help them grow faster once transplanted outdoors. Row cover will also protect them from spring flea beetles and other pests.
To start seeds indoors, you will need high quality seed starting mix, pots with drainage holes, a heat source to keep your sprouting seeds at 80 degrees, and a light source.
