Daisy
The merry, open face of a daisy is the quintessential flower. They're perfect for doodling, making daisy chains, and tucking behind your ear. But the genealogy of these members of the family Asteraceae is not quite as simple as it seems. The European variety, Bellis perennis, is commonly found around the world, while the African daisy, of the genus Arctotis, has long been harder to find despite its pretty flowers and hardy plants. No matter which daisy you grow, it's sure to delight.
