Hardy Hibiscus is a great perennial that comes back for several years each year with more flowers. As it grows and establishes itself, Hardy Hibiscus forms a nice hedge that lends itself as a nice border plant or a privacy planting. Popping white flowers with red/magenta centers attract many pollinators such as bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. As a seed crop Hardy HIbiscus produces lots of nice rounded seeds that shake out of their pods for an easy harvest that can be in succession. In the fall after a hard frost cut any dead branches about 12" from the ground for better spring regrowth. Starting from seed can be tricky, but are incredibly worth it once you see those bold white-to-pink blooms
