FThis genus is comprised of of around 20 flowering plants which are native to Europe, Asia, and North Africa, and contains several garden favorites including campion, catchfly, and Maltese cross. Their fuzzy gray-green leaves and brightly-colored flowers make them lovely additions to borders and rock gardens. They prefer moderate sun, fertility, and drainage.
