Microgreens let you garden anywhere! All it takes is a bit of counter space, a small spot of sunshine through a room window, and about ten days of being mesmerized by the unfurling of little leaves—and voila! You've got fresh, crunchy, tasty greens.

Growing them is a snap: all it takes is coconut coir; no compost or fertilizer is required, as the little plants have all the nutrition they need from within the seeds. And when you harvest the plants so young, their flavors and nutrients are more concentrated: they're rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. And on top of that, they look fantastic when added to your meal.

They can be grown throughout the year—deep in winter or at the height of summer or anytime in between—and they are a great choice for people who are new to growing plants.
