Bull's Blood Beet Seedlings
Certified Organic
Beta vulgaris
Roots, stems, and leaves are all red.
A striking heirloom beet, deep red from the roots to the leaves. The deep red color of the leaves is marvelous as a baby leaf. The color deeps further still as the beets mature. The roots, though modest, are quite nice and uniform. Great as a bunched beet and for greens, but not recommended as a storage beet. A strain well-selected for leaf uniformity and color.

Succession sow starting 1-2 weeks before last frost. Beets prefer fertile, weed-free soil for formation of large roots. For salad production, sow seeds roughly 2 inches apart and cut when leaves are 3 inches high. For bunched beets, sow about 1-2 inches apart and thin young seedlings to one every 2-3 inches, then pull out every other beet to enjoy at the baby stage.
