Thai Long Green Eggplant
Solanum melongena
Flavorful, mild, sweet fruits with great texture.
Thai heirloom variety that produces an abundance of beautiful lime-green fruits with a delicate sweet flavor and silky texture on compact plants. One of the best tasting eggplants we've tried, and favorite of our 2021 eggplant trials. When cooked, this eggplant retains its structure while becoming more succulent and tender. The fruits are best harvested when less than 10" long and 2" wide.

Sow indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost, then transplant 24" apart once danger of frost has passed and soil is warm--usually 2-3 weeks after last frost. Cover immediately with row cover, as flea beetles love to devour eggplant leaves. Eggplants want heat; choose your sunniest spot for them. Give them ample water, drip irrigation is best. Harvest when fruit have reached 6-12" long.
