Not only are the hues in this mix those of the setting sun, but each individual bloom mimics the sunset with contrasting circular rings fading out in autumnal shades. Plants reach 6-8 feet tall and are perfect as a back drop in the garden or along a fence line. This variety makes a great cut flower, and is particularly striking when bunched with contrasting blooms in shades of blue.

Sow sunflowers outdoors after last frost, until mid-June for autumnal blooms. Can be scattered or sowed in rows. Thin sunflowers to 8-12 inches apart for a dense wall. Tolerate dry conditions and require full sun. Cut blooms to encourage more flowers, or let the seeds mature (to save or to feed the birds).
