I purchased 1lb of the German Hard neck. I harvested 3 cups of scapes, blanched, diced and in the freezer. I have about 42 heads of garlic curing now they sized up real nice. I will definitely be ordering more for this fall.

This garlic reliably greets me every spring when I snowbird home to the Catskills. It stores well and I have it to cook with later season crops of tomato and pepper.

2 came up before winter arrived.
The 3rd variety came up in early March.
By mid March all seem to be growing.
Not quite large enough to count all of them but it looks like almost all cloves are growing nicely.

I grew this in containers. It really needs to be insulated since the year before it froze. But with lots of mulch and wrapping the containers in burlap it did well. I planted about half a pound in three 20 gallon containers in Nov and yielded about 2 pounds by mid July.

I have just recently planted my garlic and I just barely have shoots poking out of the ground so it is too soon to evaluate the growth. We'll just have to wait for harvest. But I do have a positive comment. I ordered my garlic from two different places this year. Yours were huge and so firm and fresh. The others I got were much smaller and the cloves were soft and apparently old. Will be ordering all my garlic from you next year.

Stunning garlic!!!! I grew garlic to sell at market, so I know about buying seed garlic. These bulbs were incredible in size and quality! I don’t have a picture as they are snug in their bed lol. I’m anticipating great specimens this spring. Pictures will be forthcoming in June! I should have bought way more.
