Certified Organic Seed

Hibiscus moscheutos

Bring the tropics to your yard.

These beautiful shrubs are hardy to zone 4! In the first year of growth from seed, our plants reached 48" high and had several blooms. In the second year, each plant was absolutely covered in 6" flowers. Starting Hardy Hibiscus from seed can take some time, be patient and expect a few plant losses. You time and effort will be rewarded for year to come.
This lot was produced and processed in the Hudson Valley of New York State on our own certified organic seed farm, Four Fold Farm.

Sow the flower seeds into small pots or starters and lightly cover the seed and keep moist, but not soggy. Keep the temperature consistently warm and the soil consistently moist After seedlings have developed and there are several sets of true leaves and the stems have begun to harden and become woody, the plants can be moved to larger pots or to a protected place in the garden.
