Full, orange-and-yellow, double blooms cover these short plants. Marigolds are a great companion plant (they deter bad bugs). This variety is great for small spaces: containers, raised beds, or borders. Their short height won't shade out other plants either.

Growing instructions
Very easy to grow. Start indoors 6-8 weeks before first frost, then transplant after threat of frost has passed. Alternately, direct sow outdoors 1 inch apart, then thin to 6 inches apart once seedlings have 1-2 sets of true leaves. Marigolds prefer full sun and moderate water. Remove fading flowers to encourage a longer flowering season.

Perfect for those of us who aspire to be better gardeners than we actually are; these marigolds are the first flowers I've ever grown successfully. They gave great color from late spring to late fall and the dried blossoms provided more than enough seeds for another round of plants next year. A wonderful mix!

Beautiful flowers. The seeds germinated quickly and grew very well. Pictured is an orange bloom but the seeds also produced a striking red bloom that I forgot to capture. I was a first-time gardener when I planted these last year, and I recommend it to others who are just starting and may feel overwhelmed, as I did, by all the options and information — it was reassuring to see this grow!
