A high yielding kabocha type with delicious flavor.
A hokkaido/kabocha type squash with delicious, dry, flaky texture and sweet, nutty flavor. High-yielding plants produce 4-5 of the beautiful, slate-blue fruits each. These squash store moderately into late fall. A staff favorite!

Growing instructions
Direct sow after frost, or start indoors 2-3 weeks earlier. Transplant in hills 6' apart, three plants per hill, or in rows 36" apart. Can be trained to grow up a trellis. Harvest when squash are buff-colored with no trace of green. Cure in a warm spot for 2-3 weeks.
