I have been planting a garlic bed for the past 10 years. I purchased the 2lb hardneck package and have just separated the cloves prior to planting. Total 120 cloves and all look very good. Enough to fill the area designated.
I vary garlic sources periodically. These would rank with the best. Anxious to see the results next July

I live on Nantucket Island and I can prepare the optimum soil for growing garlic...what topsoil that is left is loamy...and of course I supplement w/ compost, ocean/sea nutrients, and Biodynamic tinctures...
