Every packet of seeds you plant holds a promise—not just of a beautiful harvest, but of a brighter, more connected future. At Hudson Valley Seed Company, we believe that gardening is the ultimate act of optimism. When you choose to grow our varieties, you aren't just tending to your own backyard; you’re helping us cultivate a world where the joy of nature and the bounty of fresh food are available to everyone.
Our Packs with Purpose program is the heart of what we do, and it is fueled entirely by your support. With every seed packet you purchase, you are lending a hand to incredible organizations that are making a tangible difference in communities everywhere. Your generosity flows directly to vital initiatives like the Palestinian Seed Library and Future Perfect Project, as well as other organizations in need.

Growing with Care
Our ecologically-centered mission is rooted in organic growing, climate resilience, and positive environmental impacts as well as taking care of our community. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or planting your very first row, your hands are nurturing more than just soil. You are helping us support community-led food sovereignty, restore pollinator habitats, and inspire the next generation of environmental stewards. You are planting a ripple of kindness that blooms across the country.

Sharing the Art of Seed
Here at the Hudson Valley Seed Co, we love gardening, and we believe it should be a part of everyone's lives. To help make gardening as accessible as possible, we donate packs of seeds and other plant materials to community organizations in need. Over the years we've donated thousands of seeds to school gardens, community garden groups, and seed sharing organizations - last year alone, we sent out over 5,000 packs of seed. Hudson Valley Seed Company is partnered with Cooperative Gardens Commission for the distribution of these seeds.
