About the artist

Direct sowed these in a new ground garden plot. Despite the foliage getting eaten by bugs and animals, these bushes produced like superstars. I had planned to do successive plantings but the bushes kept replenshing, giving constant harvests every couple days through the end of September, so there was no need.
BUSH beans?? NOT!! Purchased for container gardening, had to add a trellis to the pot to support the vines, hoping it's tall enough and sturdy enough. Disappointing to say the least. Won't order again.

Thank you for placing an order with us! As we discussed in the email thread about this, bush beans can grow to be up to 18 inches tall, with some degree of variation. The plants in the pictures seem to be a tad bit leggy, but bush beans do tend be floppy plants even if their growth is shorter than pole beans. They aren't dwarf plants and can sometimes need a few stakes to lean up against similarly to pole beans. Typically, a pot with a diameter of at least 12 inches and a similar depth provides ample space for a bush bean plant to flourish, so they will do better with a larger container if you decide to try again next year.
My first time doing beans. Seed went in like a week ago and they’re already huge.

I would love to know what varieties make up this pack. I liked the green and wax beans especially and would be interested in purchasing them as standalone packets.
Very prolific and grows easily in full or partial sun. Delicious!
I am so impressed with these beans! Super long beans, especially the green ones. The vines grew fast with prolific flowers. Very tasty too.
Delightful Beans
Direct sowed these beans in a warm well-drained garden bed and wow they did not disappoint! They grew vigorously and we harvested consistently for weeks. The purple, green and yellow beans make for a wonderful mix at dinner time. The purple, when cooked, turn green but they are so tender that eating them raw (alone or in a salad) is a treat. While our garden is not organic, we do not add any commercial products or fertilizers to the soil. We use composted chicken manure from our coop and regular kitchen and yard waste compost.

I purchased these seeds last spring(2019)They were the most delicious beans I’ve ever planted. I always purchased Burpee green beans . They had one type that did well for me and were tender and not stringy. I was late to order this year so I didn’t get any of Hudson’s seeds. As many know this year (2020)was a bust if you didn't order early. I had to plant what I could find, which was Burpees seeds from Walmart. They were the same name of the previous seeds that I always loved . To my surprise they were not the same plants. They were tough and stringy. I’m looking now to order my seeds from Hudson for next years crop. Try these Tri Color you can’t go wrong. I hope I can find a larger pack for next season.
