Also known as Checkered Lily. An heirloom species that dates back to 1575. These bell-shaped, "checkered" flowers are either deep purple/maroon or ivory/white with thin, grassy foliage intermittently spaced on slender stems. Prefers light shade or dappled sunlight. Reaches heights of 8" to 12". Pest-resistant, and a great Naturalizer.

Fritillaria do best in light shade or dappled sunlight. They require a well-drained soil. After planting, water in well; beyond that average rainfall should suffice. Plant as soon as possible after receipt.
