Provider Bush Green Bean
Certified Organic Seed
Phaseolus vulgaris
Big, delicious harvests of perfectly plump beans.
Provider is a favorite variety of many market growers. It's big and bushy, and it cranks out firm, medium-thickness, medium-length green beans that really satisfy. Equally delicious steamed, pan-fried, or processed (makes great dilly beans), Provider will earn a place in your garden nearly every year.
This pic is from one of our Facebook fans of her dog, Ziva, patiently posing with fresh picked Provider beans. Thanks for sharing Sue!

Sow Provider Bush Green Bean at 3-week intervals from just after last spring frost until 8-10 weeks before fall frost. Harvest when skin is taut, before the beans become discernible in the pod. Pick beans every other day, and plants will produce for 3 or 4 weeks. If young beans struggle, wait a week and re-sow: many bean ailments are short-lived in the garden, and later sowings will succeed even if earlier ones do not.
