Cocozelle Zucchini
Cucurbita pepo
Certified Organic
Yellow and green striped zucchini.
Seeds are biologically designed for travel. During the period of European colonization, they traveled farther and faster than they ever had before, as mariners brought seeds of American crops back to their homelands. Hundreds of years of selection later, seeds of many of these crops in new and varied forms re-crossed the Atlantic with immigrants. For eating, pick this variety at the dinghy stage rather than waiting for it to turn into a yacht. Saving seeds? Let it grow as big as a battleship.
This bush-type plant churns out squash that taste great. It's delicious sautéed on its own or in a ratatouille.

I roasted slices of this zucchini with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika and it was divine!! It melted in my mouth like butter. Best tasting and best looking zucchini!
Our favorite zucchini! We usually harvest small but came back to this beauty after a weekend away. Third year growing these and plants thrived each season. I was surprised the first year that it just kept producing and didn't fizzle out. Great germination rates too!
First year gardening and I’ve been getting big ol boys like this one from a plant started from these seeds. The plant has taken over the garden. Highly recommend these seeds!
All of our squash come from Hudson Valley seed but the Cocozelles are our favorite. The plants are strong and vigorous and all the summer squash last for upwards of two to three weeks once harvested.
Just planted it. Let you know at end of season.
New variety to try.
Delicious!
We (kids included) all love this squash. It’s perfect sautéed. A favorite summer breakfast side (Sautéed with butter and a little cinnamon). It doesn’t get mushy when cooked.
