Sow after last frost in well-composted hills of 3-4 plants (sow 6-8 seeds per hill, then thin), spacing hills about 4 feet apart. Yields 3-6 small pumpkins per plant, each weighing 4-5 pounds. Cure pumpkins by allowing them to sit in warm, dry, frost-free spot for about a week. Consume New England Pie Pumpkins within a couple of months, as this variety will not keep through the winter.
