Magic Molly Potato
Certified Organic
Solanum tuberosum
A strikingly purple fingerling.
Late season. Increasingly popular within specialty potato circles, Magic Molly is known for its deep purple color and dark, nearly black skins. Baked, boiled, or roasted, it's an exceptional all-purpose potato; but roasting will bring out its delectably earthy undertones. The texture is more waxy than mealy, and the flesh retains a deep purple hue even when boiled. Magic Molly also has more phytonutrients, anthocyanins and other antioxidants than spinach and broccoli! The tuber set is medium; space 3-5 tubers evenly throughout the hill. While not a true fingerling, Magic Molly can be allowed to mature for an ample crop or harvested early for dainty "fingerling" style potatoes.
