GOOD SEED: 10% for community arts and gardens

by Ken Greene

We're continuing to support important organizations with our 10% For Good fundraisers. So far we've raised funds for the Glynwood Center, National Organic Coalition, and the Rosendale Community Theater.

Right now for each online order you place you can select one of two amazing organizations. One's a community art gallery and the other is a community garden org.

The Kingston Museum of Contemporary Art is a vibrant arts hub in Kingston, NY. Their monthly shows are always packed due to the high caliber of artists they feature. We've discovered some of our pack Artists through their shows and KMOCA has also hosted our Art of the Heirloom exhibition. When we found out that they were holding their first fundraiser in many years, we wanted to help out by offering them 10% of online orders. We'll be at their art sale fundraiser on February 2nd from 3-9 where 25 of their favorite artists have donated works that will be available for a small contribution of $25 or $50. Great art at a great price for a great cause. Click here for more info about the event.

If you'd like us to donate 10% of your order to the Kingston Museum of Contemporary Art make sure to use code KMOCA when you checkout!

The second organization we're supporting is GreenThumb. GreenThumb provides programming and material support to over 500 community gardens in New York City. Workshops, which are the access point for supplies, are held every month of the year, covering gardening basics to more advanced farming and community organizing topics. Every year GreenThumb purchases seeds from us, which we sell at a deep discount, to distribute to gardeners in need. Due to severe budget cuts, they can't afford seeds this year. In response, we will be donating seeds to their gardeners and wanted to help them make up for the budget cuts by donating 10% of online orders from now until Feb 21.

If you would like us to donate 10% of your order to GreenThumb make sure to use code greenthumb at checkout.
