Seed Squad Picks: Rachel and Genovese Basil

The Seed Library has become what it is today thanks to a team effort by talented, hard-working folks. This month, get to know them here on our blog and find out what seedy products they love best:

Rachel has joined the Seed Squad this year as a Seed Packer. When she's not at the Seed Library, diligently counting envelopes full of seeds, she can be found hiking The Catskills, making art, or sitting with her nose in a book.

What is your favorite product we carry?

Rachel's favorite product: Genovese Basil

"It reminds me of the forest of basil we would grow at my parents' house, which my dad would turn into a freezer full of pesto every August. The processing of herb into sauce is nearly alchemical."
