Apricot Zebra Tomato

Solanum lycopersicum

Certified Organic

Healthy plants yield tasty, dense tangerine fruits.

A new variety with appealing tangerine colored skin, slight green shoulders, and attractive green striping which fades as the fruits mature. A favorite in our 2018 trials! Plants showed excellent disease resistance, and set tons of slightly oblong, golf ball size fruit. Fruits are juicy and dense with notes of papaya-esque, tropical, fruity flavor. Indeterminate.

Growing instructions
Start seeds indoors early, about 10 weeks before last frost. Seeds germinate best at 80 degrees F. Do not over water, and keep temperature warm but not hot to prevent damping off. Transplant outdoors after threat of frost has passed. Provide with proper support. A bit of pruning increasing yield of fruit. Do not over water, and water at the base of the plant if possible to help reduce occurance of disease. Harvest when tomatoes are fully ripe for best flavor.

Wonderful tomatoes. Grew well even in the less-than-ideal weather this summer. And they taste amazing.

Great yield and they are such a pretty color and great tase. Second year growing them and I noticed they are out performing all my other tomato plants, so far they are the tallest and are the first ones to have tomatoes.

Apricot Zebra tomatoes are amazing!! They germinated beautifully (100%) in my gallon jugs and developed into sturdy seedlings. Lots of fruit. I had 4 leftover seedlings that were planted very late and they outdid the earlier plants. They pumped out tomatoes well into October and when picked green ahead of a frost lasted for weeks as they slowly ripened. Definitely growing them again this year.

Hoping for germination! Haven’t started my seeds yet but will shortly. Nothing better than homegrown tomatoes!

First year growing and it will not be my last! These were incredibly productive, meaty, and sweet. Great raw, and they make the best tomato jam (which almost tastes like the apricots they were named for)!

What a surprise!
Apricot Zebra tomatoes ROCK!
Great flavor, somewhat early, beautiful color, dense and meaty but quite juicy. Great for cutting into small pieces for salads.

Delicious
I've purchased tomatoes from farmers markets, had heirloom tomato salads at fancy restaurants. But I've not had such flavorful, sweet, tomatoes such as these. Can't wait to share them with others. This is what home growing is about! As a first timer, it's been a struggle to get the watering correct for my weather conditions, but tasting this gives me hope for next year.
