Berkeley Pink Tie Dye Tomato
Solanum lycopersicum
Certified Organic
A gorgeous beefsteak with out-of-this-world flavor!
The ideal tomato sandwich tomato! In our 2022 farm trials, this beefsteak was the hands-down favorite. The flavor is deliciously complex: rich, tangy, with a savory umami base, and the texture is both meaty and juicy. The indeterminate plants produce elegant wine-red fruits with metallic green stripes. First bred by Wild Boar Farms in Citrus Heights, CA, pair this one with Berkeley Green Tie Dye Tomato for a wildly colorful tomato combo. Indeterminate.

These are so tasty! I eat them off the vine. Been sharing these tomatoes with friends who all love it, too. Ripened before my beefsteak and kellog’s tomatoes. I’m definitely growing these next year.
This Berkeley Pink Tie Dye and the Cherokee Purple are my absolute favorite tomatoes of all time. Bold. Wish I could find a cherry and roma tomato with as much flavor.
I've been growing Berkley Pink TieDye for 7 years and is tied for my absolute favorite (with Paul Robeson). The flavor is rich, deep, and delicious, and year after year it's the first non-cherry tomato to ripen. This is always going to be a staple in my garden. I've even recommended it to other gardeners, and it's become a staple in their gardens as well.
