Cape Gooseberries
Physalis peruviana
Certified Organic
Grown on Our Farm
Tiny pre-wrapped fruits with intense fruity flavor
Also known as Peruvian Ground Cherry. Not botanically a gooseberry, but a member of the genus Physalis - which includes tomatillos, as well as the recently re-popularized Physalis pruinosa (such as our Aunt Molly's Ground Cherry). More tart than Aunt Molly's, but beloved by those fond of strong, sour, earthy flavors. Rich in antioxidants and Vitamin C to boot.

Amazing seeds!!
Zero germination with this one as well. Planted seeds two different times and got maybe two sprouts. I’m done with Hudson Valley.
Thank you so much for ordering seeds from us!
We are very sorry to hear that you had poor results from the packs you purchased and we would like to send out replacements. We find that Ground Cherries and Cape Gooseberries are rather stubborn seeds to get started. We will be contacting you directly to resolve your issue.
