Goldie Tomato

Solanum lycopersicum

Certified Organic

Grown on Our Farm

Dense, full flavored fruits are a must for the tomato connoisseur.

Goldie tomatoes take shape in the sensuous days of summer. Sexier than a vintage pin-up girl, these golden fruits balance full-bodied beauty, poised grace, and pure sweetness. But gardening is more than a beauty contest. With a tender and radiant glow, inner nutritive richness, complex flavor profile, and a robust inner depth, these radiant fruits are the perfect modern-day models to represent the best of heirloom tomatoes. The plants produce substantial slicing tomatoes that only split when you slice them. Goldie is timeless and tasty: its rich yellow flesh is super sweet. Indeterminate.

I ordered these Goldie Girl seeds the first time in 2024, and I am amazed!
I have grown several tomato varieties for over 20 years and I have never had such a beautiful tomato, and consistent tomato. These are just beautiful they are perfect for slicing for a sandwich or salad. They are great producers and so plump and juicy. Order these seeds you will not be disappointed!

I have NOT planted my Goldie tomato seeds yet (next spring).
However, I have bought seeds from Hudson Valley seeds before, and I am never disappointed. I've always had healthy abundant vegetables & flowers .
I'm sure it will be the same with the Goldie tomatoes.

    So EXCITED!!!!!
Though I have been gardening most of my life, this is the first year I started all of my plants from seed. I found Hudson Valley Seed Co from a friend's instagram post, checked it out, and ordered a variety of vegetables in hopes it would give me something to do while in quarantine. I started my seeds a little late for zone 6B and we had some chilly weather a bit later than usual, so my seedlings got a late start. Everything I planted germinated. My plants have all been super healthy and I could not be more impressed. I purchased 5 varieties of tomatoes and I have to say that the most impressive in size and prolific in fruits are the Goldie tomatoes. (The bumble bees have been incredible too!) I am truly blown away by how blemish-free the skins on these perfectly formed massive fruits are. They are just starting to ripen and I am days away from tasting the first of these gorgeous tomatoes. I can't tell you how excited I am to slice one up and share it with my 93 year old grandmother. We live together, and the garden has been our sanity through the pandemic! Thank you for being such an amazing resource. I look forward to growing with you for years to come.

    A wonderful golden tomato
I tried this tomato for the first time, having bought the seedlings from Hudson Valley Seed in May. The first tomato harvested was 5" across; and juicy -- no mealiness here! What a tasty tomato. It was truly delicious, and I'm looking forward to enjoying more. I cannot eat red tomatoes due to their acid content acting as an irritatant on the stomach, and these are allowing me to eat organic golden tomatoes again and not break the bank. I'm a happy camper. The plants are hardy and the tomatoes don't seem to drop off prematurely despte their size and weight, although I am setting the very large ones either on the ground or on an upside down bucket. Highly recommended, not only for those who also need to shy away from red tomatoes, but also for anyone and everyone who loves a good tomato. So good, I'm movitated to try my hand at saving the seeds of this one.
