Growing instructions
Start seeds indoors 8 weeks before last frost. Seedlings are slow to start. Transplant outdoors 10 inches apart when 1-2 sets of true leaves emerge. Celery is a heavy feeder and needs plenty of moisture. Nutrient deficiencies can affect the quality of the stalks and insufficient water can result in tough, fibrous texture. Once the stalks have formed, you can harvest the plant at once or try cutting the outer stalks and leaving the young ones to grow.

    I planted the celery indoors about 10 weeks before my last frost date. Then I transferred it outside into my garden bed and was able to pick and eat celery every day for about six months.

    They sprouted
    After nearly 1 month my seeds finally sprouted! These certainly take patience.

    Seeds not sprouting
    Having a hard time getting the seeds to sprout. Out of 24 seeds planted only one came up. Does anyone have any advice how to do better?
