Sow at 3-week intervals from just after last spring frost until 8-10 weeks before fall frost. Harvest when skin is taut, before the beans become discernible in the pod. Pick beans every other day, and plants will produce for 3 or 4 weeks. If young beans struggle, wait a week and re-sow: many bean ailments are short-lived in the garden, and later sowings will succeed even if earlier ones do not.
