Berkeley Green Tie Dye Tomato
Solanum lycopersicum
Certified Organic
A colorful tomato with untamable flavor.
A visually stunning and deliciously sweet tomato. First bred by Wild Boar Farms grower Bradley Gates, this gorgeous green tomato is marbled with stripes of red and yellow–evoking tie-dyed t-shirts and a vibrant 1960s Berkeley counterculture that could not be tamed. The sweetness of this tomato is balanced by a pleasing acidity and brightness, and it looks beautiful on the plate. These medium-sized tomatoes appear mid-season and grow on indeterminate vines. Grow alongside Berkeley Pink Tie Dye for even more color! Indeterminate.

I am so glad I purchased these. They were a joy to grow. Just watching the entire process was mesmerizing not to mention the sheer size of it. These were the largest tomatoes of the season.
Western ky here, zone 7a. These have been prolific for me. Loading early with large fruits. Absolutely gorgeous to look at. Amazing flavor, complex, spicy, sweet, tart. One of the best tomatoes I've tasted. I've not experienced any of the issues I read about others having. I've saved my seeds and currently growing them for the second year. I'll probably grow these every year going forward.
I live in zone 9b California. It was too hot for this one. Pink tie dye was OK ,but almost all of the green one got black bottom. It was a shame because the few I got were delicious and beautiful.
