Maya Habanero
Capsicum chinense
Certified Organic
An excellent Habanero for shorter seasons.
A red, elongated habanero type that ripens reliably in the Northeast! We planted our 2016 trial crop quite late, yet this variety came right in with the rest, giving us loads of hot peppers for several weeks. This pepper is quite hot, although we find it not as hot as true orange habaneros. The yields are perfect for capturing some summer heat, and make a great hot sauce, either on their own or blended with other peppers.

I have been consistently impressed by the outstanding performance of Hudson Valley Seed Co's pepper seeds. I decided to give the Maya Habanero a try, and I'm delighted to share the same reaction from the results.
The Maya Habanero seeds germinated well and quickly grew into a robust and healthy plant. What truly amazed me was the consistent and abundant production of peppers on the plant, even in the unusual climate of January in Dallas.
The plants are thriving, showcasing an abundance of peppers that have exceeded my expectations. The peppers themselves are vibrant and possess the perfect level of heat characteristic of the habanero variety.
What sets Hudson Valley Seed Co apart is the reliability and consistency of their products. Each pepper plant I received has demonstrated exceptional health and productivity. The plants are sturdy, and the peppers are plentiful, creating a visually stunning and fruitful garden.
The Maya Habanero peppers from Hudson Valley Seed Co have not only survived but thrived in less-than-ideal conditions. Their resilience to the winter chill in Dallas showcases the adaptability of this exceptional pepper variety.
I wholeheartedly recommend these seeds to fellow gardeners, and I look forward to exploring more varieties from this reputable seed company in the future.
