Music is a gorgeous porcelain variety of garlic, prized for its huge cloves, medium spiciness, and easy-to-peel wrappers. The large size of the cloves helps with overwintering (great for northern growers) and gives plants a great deal of energy for strong growth in spring.

With 4-6 plump cloves per head, heads range from white to white with a purple blush. Stores well, up to 6 months if handled properly after harvest.
Grown Organically at both Skymeadow Farm in Cherry Valley, NY, and, Katchakie Farm in Red Hook, NY.
Garlic is sold in pound quantities. There are typically 25-40 cloves per pound; each clove successfully grown will produce a full bulb the following year. One pound of hardneck garlic can plant between 20-30 feet and will yield about 5 times that amount.

Hardneck Garlic stores for 4-5 months and therefore must be planted by late October. No refunds will be issued for Hardneck Garlic varieties AFTER October 31st.

Growing great! Garlic has grown much more than from other sources planted on the same day. Can't wait to see what the harvest will be like.
I've had such good luck with all the different types of garlic I've bought from Hudson Valley. I especially love the size and disease resistance of Music Garlic. It stored very well over the winter months and I am just now finishing up my stash. Don't hesitate to try this variety, or any others.

This variety, music hardneck garlic, has a nice flavor. Not pungent like some garlic. Light spice with a truly unique flavor. Depending on your taste buds it might have a little sweet. The size is perfect for roasting and they peel easily compared to other varieties. I LOVE Music Garlic !!
The only negative would be that it arrived very early and some of the cloves were soft
All planted cloves grew very nicely.
The garlic was planted in a sub optimum place in my garden and while I did get garlic bulbs they were significantly smaller than our friends in the same garden. What we can get with a thoroughly enjoyed so far.
These grew well but they produced the smallest bulbs of any Music that I have planted.

This is a great garlic
Very happy with my seed garlic! Garlic is growing big and strong and I harvested dozens of beautiful scapes. Can't wait until harvest time for the bulbs!
The garlic is emerging and I am looking forward to seeing the full heads in mid June, when I received the garlic to plant, the cloves/seed were soft and 1/4 of the shipment were shriveling. I planted them anyway and will see what happens

The Music garlic bulbs arrived quickly and were planted. With the unseasonably warm fall weather, they sent up shoots. I covered with more straw. Now just awaiting spring as the garlic begins to really grow!

I have just recently planted my garlic and I just barely have shoots poking out of the ground so it is too soon to evaluate the growth. We'll just have to wait for harvest. But I do have a positive comment. I ordered my garlic from two different places this year. Yours were huge and so firm and fresh. The others I got were much smaller and the cloves were soft and apparently old. Will be ordering all my garlic from you next year.
