Velvety clove-scented blooms. 

A fragrant and decorative dianthus with velvety, burgundy-black petals edged in creamy white. Particularly excellent in containers and rock gardens, the clove-scented blooms also add interest to vase arrangements. Flowers emerge from a low mound of blue-green foliage, taking a break during the hottest part of summer. Pairs beautifully with low grasses and Alliums. Cut back after spring bloom for a second flowering in fall. Biennial.
