Growing instructions
For the most balanced and uniform planting of these tea herbs, starting indoors is the recommended method. Sow seeds 1/4 inch deep in seedling containers approximately 6 weeks before your final frost date. After all danger of frost has passed, harden off the young plants and transplant them into the garden with an 18-inch spacing. Alternatively, this mix can be direct sown in a prepared bed around the last frost. This blend contains a variety of species with unique dormancy requirements, so germination will be slow and staggered. Expect different herbs to emerge in waves over a period of 60 to 365 days; patience is essential. These hardy plants are adaptable, tolerating a range of conditions from moderate shade to both wet or dry spells, though well-draining soil is ideal.
