Lion's Mane Mushroom Kit
Grow this hearty, mild mushroom as a "mane" dish!
Cauliflower-like in appearance, Lion's Mane Mushrooms deliver a mild shroomy flavor and a dense, hearty body. The textured forms absorb other flavors and seasonings readily and unite them with their mildly briney undertones. They grow easily indoors and are ready to harvest within 10 days of starting to care for them. Keep the kit tended for up to three months and you can expect an additional one to three flushes of mushrooms.
Mushroom kits must be opened and started soon after receipt, so be sure to order when you or the recipient will be both available to receive the shipment and poised to get started with the kit quickly.
Please note that mushroom kits can only ship via expedited methods and are therefore excluded from free shipping promotions.

This sawdust block has been myceliated with lion’s mane mycelium and is ready to produce mushrooms. This can be done outdoors between April-November or indoors year-round.
1. Slice an “x” that is aprox. 1in. across with a sharp knife, mushrooms will fruit out of this “x”. Baby mushroom pins will begin emerging within 2 weeks of opening.
2. We suggest putting your block on a plate or tray, in an area with indirect light and in a place where it can be watered daily. Keep in an area that is within 55 – 80F, lions mane mushrooms grow best in these temperatures.
3. Spray the openings you made on the block once twice a day with water. Watch for the baby mushroom “pins” to appear.
4. Mushrooms grow quickly, once you see the baby pins emerging be prepared to harvest your first mushrooms within 4-6 days. Harvest once the “teeth” on the lions mane have formed and apprear distinct.
5. This mushroom growing kit is capable of growing approximately 2lbs of mushrooms, over the course of 3 months from the time you open it. you can expect 2–4 flushes of mushrooms to grow. once the kit stops producing you can use it to inoculate paper waste, coffee grounds or your compost.check out instructions for how to do this on our website.
