An extra-early producer, the vines grow many small melons
This attractive, small-fruited muskmelon has very flavorful flesh and an ultra-thin rind. An extra-early producer, the vines grow many small melons, ideal for lunchboxes and general snacking. This compact heirloom was bred at the University of Minnesota in the 1940s. Fruits grow to 9".
This variety is more commonly known as "Minnesota Midget Melon." Hudson Valley Seed Co. has replaced a portion of this name with a respectful alternative.

I plan on growing these melons every year from now on - they’re delicious! I’ve never had such a sweet melon before these. One of my plants is in a 5 gallon bucket - it produced 7 about 3-5” melons on a pretty small plant. My other plant is in the ground and it’s bigger - it has fewer melons, but they’re much larger.
I was thrilled to find these seeds. I live in New Mexico and cannot wait to plant them for next years garden. The shipping was fast, and the customer service was fantastic.
