Opalka Tomato

The packet contained 23 seeds and every one of them germinated! I grew them for a friend who didn't have much success getting many large tomatoes. Could have been how he took care of them, or the horrible tomato weather in 2022...many days over 90 degrees. I don't know. I'll try some for myself in 2023.

Not early, but worth the wait. Perfect for a tomato sandwich, dense flesh, not juicy that makes your bread all soggy. Can't wait for majority to ripen, I'm sure this will make some amazing sauce. Until then I will enjoy tomato sandwiches!

This is my second season for ordering Opalka paste tomato seeds. The area of seeds is almost non-existent. The flavor is excellent and I will not be ordering slicing tomato seeds this year.

Opalka is a great paste tomato. We sell seedlings and our customers love this variety. In part because of the few seeds, but also the great flavor and good yield. Opalka is good for all purposes, not just making tomato sauce.

Love these huge tomatoes. They are great if you can tomatoes, make salsa or sauce. Sometimes they act as if they are wilting but once they are outside they are tough. Had one grow to be about 10' tall in Michigan.

Prolific, have proper support from the beginning, my store bought cage wasn't enough!! That was my attempt to stop it toppling over
