Purple Heart Tomato
Solanum lycopersicum

Fall in love with these delectable hearts!
A delicious variety from the Dwarf Tomato Project. These vigorous plants are multi-branching, productive, and on the large side for a dwarf variety–but less sprawling than most indeterminate tomatoes. The dark purple, reliably heart-shaped fruits are meaty in texture with a well-balanced flavor. As a medium-sized tomato, they’re also great for slicing and saucing! Great for growing in containers.

Not very prolific but fairly disease resistant here in my backyard, Cape Cod garden. The flavor, however, was one of the best of the 35 varieties I grew this year. I'll always find a spot for this one!
Seedlings are beautiful with deep coloring and a petite bushy plant, however as the plant grows it is not disease resistant. Out of over 10 varieties in my garden it is the only tomato that has abundant leaf disease and minimal fruit. I will try it again in a separate area and new soil next year to use up the seeds.
Perfect… I can’t wait until these tasty tomatoes start growing!!! They have the best flavor and are so juicy! I would rate them a 10
