A species tulip in cheerful cantaloupe-colored hues.

A naturalizing, multi-flowering species tulip! Each stem produces 2-3 flowers with pointed petals in cheerful shades of cantaloupe to coppery yellow, with occasional striations of red. Look closely to discover dark blue stamen. Grows to 12" tall.

Tulips do best in full sun in northern areas, but will tolerate light shade in hotter areas. They require a well-drained soil, with an ideal pH of 6.0 to 6.5. Water in well after planting, beyond that normal rainfall should be sufficient.  Tulip bulbs should be kept cool until ready to plant; and planted in fall at least a month before the ground freezes. Follow the recommended planting depth per variety
