The Art of Seed 2025 Opening Reception

We celebrate the art of seed every day on our certified organic seed farm. We carefully grow, harvest, thresh, and winnow our seeds and then each year, we put out an open call and commission contemporary artists from around the United States (and sometimes the world) to tell the story of a particular seed variety. That art and those seeds combine to create an Art Pack, a unique celebration of the diverse stories of seeds and their stewards. 

The artists explore the intersection of arts and gardening, culture and agriculture. Their creativity honors the beauty, diversity and life force of the seeds held within each pack.
